Updated 26 September 2026. This baseline measures pricing structure across the 874 software profiles currently ACTIVE in Lorezi. It is the first public snapshot in Lorezi's longitudinal AI software pricing dataset.

Key findings

• 69.11% of ACTIVE software records report a free plan — 604 of 874 tools.

• 68.99% are normalized as FREE or FREEMIUM pricing models — 603 of 874.

• 84.55% have a normalized starting amount — 739 of 874.

• Among the 328 ACTIVE tools with a positive normalized starting amount, the median is 19 nominal currency units.

• The middle 50% of positive starting amounts falls between 10 and 39 nominal currency units.

• 0 ACTIVE pricing records are currently flagged for pricing review. All 117 review-flagged pricing records are quarantined in DRAFT software.

What the baseline says about AI software pricing

Free access is not a niche pricing tactic in Lorezi's current ACTIVE catalogue. More than two-thirds of the dataset is classified as FREE or FREEMIUM, and 69.11% of tools explicitly report a free plan. That makes some form of no-cost entry a common competitive pattern across the market represented in Lorezi.

The positive starting-price distribution is also concentrated below the highest price bands. Of 328 tools with a positive normalized starting amount, 206 — 62.80% — begin above zero and at or below 25 nominal currency units. Only 21 — 6.40% — sit above 100.

Methodology

Lorezi enumerated the complete pricing_intelligence population and joined each pricing record to its software profile by exact handle. The public Index includes only software whose publishable status is ACTIVE. DRAFT software is excluded from public metrics.

  1. Enumerate the complete Pricing Intelligence population by cursor pagination.
  2. Join each pricing record to software by exact handle.
  3. Include only ACTIVE software.
  4. Exclude null starting amounts from numeric price statistics.
  5. Separate zero/free starts from positive starting amounts.
  6. Do not perform FX conversion when currency state is not normalized.
  7. Reuse the same rules for future snapshots so changes remain comparable over time.

Coverage and limitations

The underlying pricing layer contains 1,059 records because it mirrors Lorezi's full software corpus: 874 ACTIVE and 185 DRAFT. This public Index excludes those 185 DRAFT records. The current ACTIVE join has zero orphan pricing records and zero ACTIVE records marked as needing pricing review.

Starting-price statistics are nominal, not FX-normalized. Currency state is NONE for 542 ACTIVE records, DOLLAR_UNSPECIFIED for 330, and EUR for 2. The median and price bands therefore describe Lorezi's normalized catalogue values and should not be interpreted as a purchasing-power comparison between currencies.

Usage, credit, enterprise and annual-discount flags reflect what was captured during normalization and can understate true market prevalence when source pricing detail is incomplete.
